Google just launched a new feature in its AI Studio for developers, The Prompt Gallery. It offers a diverse range of pre-built prompts designed to showcase the capabilities of Google’s Gemini models. These prompts cover a wide spectrum of applications, from practical tools to creative exercises. I played with it a bit, but just taking someone else's prompts feels like wearing someone else's shoes. The example prompts cover a range of contexts, including education and programming. When I think to myself, oh crap, another tool to learn, I get the sense that we are entering the trough of disillusionment. Anyway else take it for a spin?

Procreate CEOJames Cuda posted an Xvideo promising the design app's users that it will not incorporate generative AI, saying, "I don't like what's happening in the industry, and I don't like what it's doing to artists." The announcement drew praise from creatives on social whose concerns about generative AI include models being trained using their work without permission or remuneration and AI replacing human creativity.https://lnkd.in/gf-mKm8Z

If you treat generative AI like an intern to dump all your unpleasant tasks and not to help you learn, ideate, or improve, you don’t get as much out of it. This is for teachers but it also holds true for the workplace use cases. If we just use to accelerate ticking things off our to do list, we just get burned out faster.
